If you cannot find the information you are looking for, please send an email to: info@retrofestival.co.uk. Emails are monitored 9am-4.30pm Mon to Fri (excluding bank holidays). We will monitor emails over the show weekend but may take longer to reply, you can always contact us on social media. 

 

Booking

How do I book?

Bookings can be made by clicking ‘Tickets’ on the drop-down menu – this will allow you to book camping, weekend, day tickets or show vehicle bookings.

Do I need a weekend ticket if I am camping?

Yes, weekend tickets need to be purchased by all adults (18+) that are camping for the weekend. The weekend tickets give you access to the festival area.

Can I show my classic vehicle and stay for the weekend?

Yes, we have separate show vehicle bookings for those that are showing their vehicle in the classic vehicle show allowing them to stay for the weekend. This can be found here- https://retrofestival.co.uk/classic-vehicle-show/booking/

Do I need to pay for my child?

No, all children under the age of 18 are FREE with a paying adult.

Do you offer Carer discounts?

Yes, we do. However, these are only available on the day and allow you to 50% off your day ticket (not available for camping pitches). A valid carers card must be shown on arrival. 

When will I receive my tickets?

Your tickets are available in your Citizen Tickets account, there is just one QR code with all of your active tickets. This can be done here

Cancellations

We regret bookings are non-refundable. If you cannot attend then please contact us. 

 

Camping

What is the size of a pitch/accommodation?

Pitches are marked out at 10m x 8m, if your vehicle exceeds this please let us know and we will try to accommodate.

What time can we get there if we are camping?

Thursday & Friday 8am to 9pm. Late arrivals will be asked to return in the morning. We do not have any overnight holding areas.

How do I access the site?

Please follow the road signs for our Camping Gate, from there we will scan your tickets and issue you with your wristbands. If you are Glamping, Club Camping or EHU you will be given a window card and a marshal will show you to your area. 

Is there an area for Blue Badge holders?

Whilst we don’t offer a blue badge ticket we will always try to get anyone with a blue badge as close to the facilities as we can. Please speak to the staff and marshals on the day. 

Will I be given an allocated pitch? / I want to camp next to my friends?

Pitches are allocated when you arrive. If you would like to camp with friends, please ensure you have booked the same rally area and that you arrive at the gate together.

What time do we have to be off the camping site?

You have to be off site by 12pm on the Monday unless prior arranged.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Yes, you can bring your own food and drink, however this must not be consumed within the festival limits and must be kept within your camping pitch.

What do I do if I am camping as a Classic Vehicle Exhibitor?

Arriving to the Event / On the Day

What is the show area opening times?

Friday, Saturday & Sunday 10am until 11pm. Last entry into the event is 9pm. 

What is the latest time I can enter?

Last entry is 9pm each day of the show, after this time you will not be permitted to enter the site. 

Can I buy tickets on the day?

Yes, you can buy them at the gate. (Card Payments Only)

Wristbands

Please wear at all times, if you are found without a wristband you may be asked to leave the festival. Children under 18 do not require a wristband. 

Is there FREE car parking available?

Yes, there is free parking. The public parking area is NOT for camping, and campers using this area will be asked to leave the area and go to the camping area. 

Information Office

Will be able to assist with all your show enquiries.  Opening times are:

Thurs / Fri / Sat 9:00am–5:00pm

Sun – 9:00am–4:00pm

Alternatively message us on Facebook which will be monitored throughout the weekend. We are unable to assist with local information please contact the local tourist boards for cycle/bus and local information.

Do you allow dogs on site?

We are dog friendly, please keep them on leads at all times, respect others, clean up and look after your pets. 

Can you bring your own alcohol?

No alcohol is to be brought on to the site. Due to licensing laws, it will be taken from you or you will be asked to leave the site. We have bars and catering available throughout the festival site.

Can you bring your own chairs?

Yes you can.

Are Security staff on site?

Yes, they are. If you experience any difficulties or have any problems at all while at the festival, please report it to any security stewards on site straight away.

Is photography permitted?

Cameras for personal use are welcome, no professional filming or photography is allowed. Unless prior permission is obtained from Retro Festival.
Please note that visitors might be photographed by Retro Festival and may be used in Retro Festival promotional literature.

Liability for Damage/Loss/Injuries?

Retro Festival does not accept liability for personal damages, losses or injuries sustained at this event – including damage and losses to property and motor vehicles.

Smoking Policy

Smoking, including E-cigarettes, is not permitted in any buildings or marquees.

Local Taxi Company

CabCo Taxi Firm in Newbury have agreed a 10% discount for people travelling to and from the show. www.cabco33333.com/ or call them on 01635 33333. 

 

Facilities

Is First Aid available?

First Aid and a Paramedic team are available during the festival.

Are there cash machines on site?

No. The nearest cash machine is at Chieveley Services.

Are there toilets and disabled facilities?

Yes, there are both.

Are there showers and toilets?

Yes, showers and toilets are provided.

Is water available?

Fresh water is available from standpipes situated at the service points around the site. However, we recommend you bring some water with you, due to the amount of campers filling up, resulting in low water pressure throughout the showground.

Are there Elsan Points?

Elsan and Grey waste disposal are located around site.

Can I use a generator?

Yes, but only between 8am-10pm for two hours at a time. We would ask all campers to be considerate of their neighbours when it comes to using a generator. 

Can I have a BBQ?

We do ask that you only use purpose made BBQs and keep them raised off the grass, removing the risk of fire. No open fires allowed at any time.

 

Entertainment

All Scheduled Performances & Artists

We will endeavour to keep the schedules as up to date as possible, the best place to keep up to date will be our newsletter or Retro Festival accepts no responsibility if an act fails to attend or to appear at the time scheduled. Aircraft displays, flyovers, etc. are subject to aircraft availability, operational circumstances and suitable weather conditions.

The Dance Floors

Please note all dance floors are temporary wooden structures for the period of the event and placed on the grass, Retro Festival cannot accept responsibility for accidents which may occur on/off the dance floor.

 

Show Vehicle Exhibits

What time do we have to be onsite if we are exhibiting cars?

All cars will need to be sited Saturday/Sunday by 9.30am to be sited and ready to display for 10am until 6pm each day when vehicle movement is permitted.

Can you book an EHU pitch in this show vehicle exhibitor camping?

No, unfortunately we do not offer Electric Hook-Up (EHU) in this area.

Can I arrive on the day and display?

Yes, you can turn up on the day, please ensure you are at the show between 7:30am and 9:30am to enable us to place you within the exhibitor area before the show opens. 

I am Camping, how do I access the site?

If you are Camping with us as a Classic Vehicle exhibitor please use the Exhibitor/Trade gate. We will scan your tickets at the gate and allocate you with wristbands and a vehicle pass for the window. You can access the site; Wednesday 08:00 – 17:00 , Thursday 08:00 – 21:00 , Friday 08:00 – 21:00.   

 

Traders

Trading

The selling of goods, distribution and advertising, etc. is strictly forbidden, except by official traders who have paid their pitch fee, and have the permission of Retro Festival.

What time can we trade from?

Trading opens at 10am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You can trade for as long as you like but most traders are expected to stay open until at least 9pm every evening.

Can I arrive on the day?

Yes you can if we still have space, please call ahead to ensure we still have space available, see contact details here. If we do have space available pitches must be paid for by Card Only, we will not be taking cash payments on the day.
